recent projects
ice cream plant commissioning (Missouri):
We completed all aspects of the controls system electrical engineering, software and computer systems integration for a second ice cream manufacturing facility located at an existing ice cream processing site. This included everything from raw ingredient intake systems, four (4) batch tanks, a new HTST, CIP Systems and (6) pasteurized storage tanks feeding two high speed filling lines.
Cheese/dairy plant relocation (california)
We recently completed a large job involved with relocating a cheese/dairy facility. All new machines, instrumentation, software and computer/control systems were implemented. This project involved designing/fabrication of various control panels, developing software for HMI interfaces and Allen Bradley ControlLogix processors. A Historian system was implemented for production reports and material/event tracking such as operator actions and valve actuations down to the millisecond. Software was written for everything from the batch systems, HTSTs, pasteurized storage handling/blending to conveyor/packaging delivery. A relationship was established with the customer that will support them through the software lifecycle.
juice processing plant major controls upgrade (california)
Currently we are converting the plant-wide controls system for a worldwide beverage manufacturer from GE Fanuc controls system to a Allen Bradley ControlLogix platform. This has involved integrating new pigging systems, additional HTST's and conversion of existing software/hardware under an extremely narrow downtime/shutdown schedule. We made use of an I/O messaging tool called Crimson from Redlion Controls that gave us the flexibility to convert the project at different stages by messaging information between the GE and Allen Bradley PLCs. A pigging system consists of a launch and recovery station used in conjunction with a multifunctional rubber plug with internal magnets that allows it to be tracked within a piping system. This device gives a facility the ability to push product at the end of a production run to the final filling equipment that would otherwise go down the drain and be wasted.
This control system conversion will allow the customer to expand their production capabilities and make use of the latest hardware/software control technologies.
